Tail Lights But No Right Side Blinker - perplexed

Hi, i have tail lights in the back of the 5th wheel, i have brake lights also. The left side (drivers side) blinker works fine, but i have no right side blinker. I am perplexed as everything else works other than the blinker. I switched bulbs with the other side that works and still no blinker only on the right side.

What could be causing the blinker just on the right (passenger) side not to work ?

I would check the 7 pin plug. Try cleaning the spades with a small wire brush or emery cloth. I used to have to do that every other year or so on my truck. If not that I would turn on the blinker and check for power at the 7 pin plug at the proper pin for the blinker. There is a plug you can buy that just plugs in and has a light for each pin if power present light comes on just remember to turn on the blinker. If power there then it is on the trailer side plug/wiring.

its a brand new trailer plug, i did put some elect grease on it. Its a 7pin, is there a separate pin for each side blinker?

I think i found it, when i do the left blinker there is a power and a blinker on the 7pin, when i do the right blinker there is only a power and no blinker. So it must be in the wireing harness of the truck..

Well I guess at this point I would gain access to the wiring right behind the plug and probe the correct wire to see if it works there just to rule out a poor connection on the plug termination. However you stated that you have both brake lights that should mean the termination is good since I am pretty sure the blinker and the brake light share the same pin.

Is the truck new or just the plug? If truck new hello warranty work. If just the plug does that mean you or someone recently installed the 7 pin wire harness/plug? If yes then I would check those terminations next.

Probably going to be a pita.

Well i took the 7 pin harness apart under the back of the plug. Again i found a live power wire and a blinker wire on the left side, but nothing on the right side.

So then i followed the trail up to the main harness that comes from the front of the truck, there are about 20 wires in there. Again nothing for the right side.

But the truck blinkers and everything works fine.

So then i followed the harness from the right side down to the plug, no power or blinker their either. I guess ill have to take the right side harness apart that comes from that light down under the truck and see where the power is...

Any other suggestions...

Does one blinker wire feed both sides or should i be looking for two separate wires that blink?

Well after taking all the harnesses apart and tracing the wire, it works. Then i put everything back together, taped it all back up, re-pull tied everything, and now it does not work. So at least i know which wire it is, the green to brown. So ill be gone this weekend taking my two day CCW course. But monday ill take that connection apart and redo the crimp gadget on it.
