Testing Inverter?

2001 Coachman on F250 chassis.
On a recent trip up to Western Canada from Arkansas, noticed that the house battery was giving up the ghost faster each day, culminating in better half's panic one night when the low battery got the gas detector to complain. Took the battery in to be checked, expecting to need a new one ... but pleasantly surprised when told the test showed the battery was 99+%.
I'm guessing that the inverter/charger might be the culprit, since it's persistent hum when on power has been annoying me for some time.
How do I check the inverter to see whether I need to replace it? And, no, I haven't yet pulled the dinette seat apart to look at it.

Before I got into the charger/inverter, I would make very sure that all cables, especially the ones coming off of the battery(s) were clean and tight. Those clamps can loosen up and or get corroded which will cause that connection point to heat up under load. Your battery will deplete much faster and if enough load is placed on that circuit the battery post could melt down like a fusable link. I speak from experience.
