Thermostat not comunicating with A/C unit

I have a Thor Palazzo with dual Dometic Penguin-2 A/C units. From the control unit/thermostat for the one in the bedroom, I get an error code of (E-1) I believe this code refers to "not communicating with A/C" Wires and connections seem to be okay. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Clean the phone jacks and cable ends with contact cleaner, I have connections above the intake filters as well as at the control panel on the roof. It was the problem in my case.
