Toilet flapper valve doesn't flap

I have a tedford ceramic toilet. It seems that the shaft that actuates the flap via the foot peddle is broken.
Any ideas on how to fix it or am I looking for a new toilet.

Thanks,
Stewart

Stewart,
Any RV parts store should be able to fix you up. I have never had a Thetford apart, but I do know that for the Sealand there are kits for repairs. It's all mechanical. I did replace a Sealand once and opted for the "higher kingdom throne" of 17 inches. Keeps my knees straight since they will not bend.

Here's one link I found on a search just now:

Thetford Parts

Search on your specific model.

Thanks Wayne, I came across a RV Shop in New Brunswick. They had a kit to repair the Ball Valve assembly. Not looking forward to Re & Re'ing the toilet. LOL.

Got'er done. Piece of cake. The only tricky part was getting the peddle off. Total time to do the job 30 mins, drain system, re & re toilet, re & re flapper. If there's a next time it will be a lot less.
