Torklift steps
I have the MorRyde StepAbove in my 27-5T. I like that they are sturdy and stable, but do not like space it takes to deploy them. When partly deployed my trailer plus steps is wider than my storage space.
I’ve been reading about the Torklift Glowstep Uprising steps. How solid are the Torklift steps?
It looks like they adjust with buttons in holes. How easy/difficult is it to*operate the buttons? Some of these, like the adjusters on my awning, are pretty hard to work with old/cold fingers.

For the same reason(s) as you, I put on the Torklift steps. I love them. They are plenty solid.
They have 3 hight adjustments for the top step that you select when deploying the steps. The buttons on the bottom step are not hard to use. But sometimes I have to use 2 hands and a foot to extent them - one hand to lift the steps, one hand to press the button and a foot to make the extension go down. It isn't hard once you learn how to do it.
final note: make sure you have the mounting brackets already welded to your frame so you have something to attach the steps to if you get the outside Torqlift steps. Some manufacturers still include them but don't use them, some don't. And you'll have to cut out the skirting too (like the old steps use to be).

Through a stroke of luck, the nice folks at TorkLift sent me a set of Glowsteps for my rig. While the install was not a walk in the park, it went well enough and the steps are a LOT more stable than the frame only mounted steps. No More rocking the rig when I got in or out, unless I put a stabilizer under the step. My DW is still on the fence. She needs to get used to the different method of stowing them.
I created this video for YouTube (my first public one!) showing the install of the steps on my rig. Hopefully you can get to it.
If you have constructive criticism about the install, I'm all ears.

Steps are very stable. There are two adjustments on the steps. The first is the upper adjustment which raises and lowers the entire assembly. Then there are the feet which you adjust to a meet the ground. It’s a very simple process.
I can see it being an issue to press the buttons for some folks, but I believe a small piece of dowel or similar would easily depress them.

TorkLift quoted me $827 for steps delivered to me. I think I’ll drop that item to a point lower on the priority list. It is only occasionally an issue at the storage location.

Unfortunately they aren't cheap, but they are an excellent product and you'll only have to buy them once. To me it's worth the peace of mind when my old knees go up and down. I can tell you that the folks at Torklift will support their product for as long as you own it, and you will be able to understand their support personnel. The support and quality of the product is worth a lot....
