Trace control question

I have the RC7-GS that controls the off on of the gen set. I have never used it but started playing with it figuring we have a trip coming up that we might do a little boondocking so I wanted to set it so if the batteries go too low it kicks on. I figured out you have to set the clock before you can set the generator settings.

I accomplished this with no issues I have it set for 40% it kicks on 99% it kicks off and quiet hours from 11pm to 6am. Again no issues. But I had to go fill the propane today and turned the gen on manually to run the house A/C. It started fine but kept shutting off after a few minutes with no fault codes. I reset the trace unit back to manual on off and the generator will stay on.

I am assuming because the batteries are at 100% it was shutting it off even though it had a draw on it from the A/C. That would mean this feature can only be set once parked and not on the road?
