Upgrades

Having decided to keep our rig, we have started doing some upgrades and am wondering how many others have done the same. First, I upgraded the thermostat on the a/c heat system to a programable Honeywell digital. Next will be the bathroom faucets to a regular residential type and then the kitchen to a single handle high arch type with a pull down sprayer. After that will be the cooling fans on the back of the refrigerator. We bought our faucets from Lowe's and will do them tomorrow. Let me know what you found when you did any of these. I am so happy with the thermostat upgrade, a/c seems to run less and cools better(most likely in my mind) but at least it don't run for an hour at a time anymore...

When I did the faucets , I found that attaching the kitchen in particular was easier to cut the pex , install a shut off and connect with flex hoses .

My coach was plumbed with rigid pex all the way to the spread hook up for the RV faucet and just wouldn't hook up to anything but RV parts.

I seem to have misplaced the before photos
Bathroom vanity was too small to access with a crim tool , so I had to crimp valve to a 8" pex then connect with a shark bite fitting below the shelf.

Thanks for the input. I think I may have to do that in the kitchen, the faucet that is there is a two handle with the water lines connecting to it, the new one is a single handle and has the connectors on tubing. I have a feeling the pex won't slide down below the floor enough to hook up.. Might have to go get a couple of sharkbite connectors..

I have done numerous upgrades, probably to many to list. I replaced the kitchen faucet with one that you can pull the faucet out to fill a larger pot. Micro air thermostats, they are blue tooth and wifi capable. Newer ROKU TV's. Four way camera system, new dash radio with remote and bluetooth. Garmin RV gps and a TPMS. Visible hotspot with a router for wifi. One new fantastic fan. Much improved mattress. Two new and larger 15K AC units. New stereo/CD/DVD player. GOVI temperature monitor. Automatic generator start switch. Ordered by have not received a 12 volt Dometic fridge to replace the still working ecectric/propane one. LED's through out.

There are many more items that I am forgetting, but you get the idea. If you plan to keep it put the stuff in it that makes you comfortable.

Same here, pretty much all of the above, plus last year I upgraded to LiFePo4 Lithium batteries.

Which Honeywell thermostat did you get? And are you able to get both low and high fan speeds? Asking at a youtube video I recently watched said a toggle switch would have to be added in order to get both speeds.

In my case I did add a simple toggle switch on the side of the thermostat, in order to get it to fit I had to remove a few bits of plastic ribbing. Here is a photo, wiring logic is simple for the high speed switch see diagram.

Thanks.

Thank you - most appreciated. I have that same thermostat, but was curious as to the toggle switch. The way you have it mounted looks pretty decent, not hokey like some other videos I'd seen.

It really was a simple install, I found a place in the case where there was some spare room, drilled a hole for the toggle switch, and screwed the collar down to lock it in place, I did also have nibble out a few plastic ribs with a pair of needle nose pliers. The switch I used was similar to these https://smile.amazon.com/Twidec-Togg.../dp/B07SVWYKG1
