Upgrading Converter/Charger

I have a Magnetek 950-2 and still plan to replace with a Progressive Dynamics pd9280.

I also have the Heart Interface HF12-1200U Inverter. Should I be ok with it or is it also in need of an upgrade? We won't have sensitive electronics on board.

Will be replacing the house batteries in the future and want to treat them right.

Upgraded the magnatek for a progressive dynamics and not regretted it. no problems for a year of full timing, but had a learning moment a couple of weeks ago. Had an incident (long story) that caused the batteries to deeply discharge. When I restored power everything looked ok. RV in storage. Next day, checking batteries, no charge, couldn't find problem, charged another day. No charge, forund 55 Amp DC breaker tripped. Reset, checked volts on the battery with voltmeter, all ok. Next day breaker tripped again and batteries almost discharged.
Found that with the batteries very discharged and when the progressive dynamics switched to the highest charge rate (automatic program, default) the 55 amp breaker would trip in about 5 minutes.
Solution was to charge at low setting for a couple hours, medium setting for a couple more and highest setting afterwards. When I upgraded to the PD, it is just enough to make the existing circuit breaker marginal on maximum current output.

I would give the people at Progressive a call on this. They have some very good minds there and should be able to direct you.

Thanks Dennis.

Wrote the numbers down & put them on the dash of my truck. I'll call them tomorrow from that place called work.
