Using a 30 amp adapter to run a 50 amp RV

1st time using a 30 amp adapter to run my 50 amp RV. Ran 1 AC during the day keep RV at 75* in 1048 heat index. Once the night came it started to cycle on and off as needed. Around 2 am the power would go off and back on when the AC wasn't running. Then around dawn the low voltage alarm went off. Check voltage at pedestal and it was 108 Volts. As the heat outside came up again to 103* AC been running but no issues with power. Anyone have a similar problem or know what is happening?

I'd say you have a problem with campground power, not your rig.

Agree. CG power issue. Not uncommon with 30a service. Often aged CG and electric - has trouble keeping up with lots if RV running air conditioning.

It may also be a loose overheating connection in your transfer switch, or pitted blades on your power cord, though I agree chances are the problem is in the campgrounds wiring.

Pitted blades on the power cord. Never would have thought of that. Low voltage at my home when running the 20 amp extension cord. Cleaned up the blades and.....nice. Thanks for the tip.
