Vacuum Toilet

We have a 2016 Fleetwood Bounder 35K and it has a vaccum Toilet system. The vaccum pump will run without anyone flushing the toilet, is this normal or is there a problem to fix?

I had/have boats with vacuum flush toilets and they do not run without flushing. If the vacuum pump turns on without anyone flushing it, then the vacuum may be lost somewhere in the system. The pump vacuum switch detects the loss of vacuum and then turns the pump on to restore the system to the correct level. Vacuum loss can typically be due to some problems as discussed in this article: https://www.environmentalmarine.com/...0vacuum%20pump.

They also take phone Q&A. Parts ship fast.

If you don't know the pump is accessed in your model by removing the panel above the propane tank, #2 square drive.

They are not all that difficult to service I usually run a little of Dawn through the system first and then another round and shut off the pump while it is cycling to let it soak overnight. A heat gun or hair dryer help to remove the hoses.

Make sure the duckbill valves are installed correctly. I use a little of silicone grease on them to avoid twisting them when installing.
