Victron 12v 3000 2-120 inverter

What a game changer! Wow is all I can say.

I bought this thing a year ago when they were impossible to get and didn't get it until late in the season. It was on backorder for nearly 6 months. Looking at it it looked really complex and difficult. Well, really I should say confusing. I thought I was going to have to make some major changes to the power and distribution panels. The original equipment Dimensions had failed. The charger was still working but no Inverter. And when one side fails the other can't be far behind. So I quickly put a Renogy 2000 in. I didn't want to leave for Mexico and find out I did something wrong.

Fast forward almost a year. I traced and mapped the entire system, read all the wiring schematics, figured out what powers what, and decided to take the plunge. Seven hours on Saturday and it was in and working. I did end up buying some 6/6/6/8 cable to replace between the transfer switch and the new inverter. Installed the Bluetooth dongle and the VE Bus control panel.

I can see everything it is doing on my iPhone, can dial and adjust for whatever power supply I have AND this thing is ready for the next plunge. Solar. All the controllers and monitors will be Victron and it will be all in one place.

Just to say I'm happy with the results. Isn't it nice to see a post that isn't about a problem?

Yes it is good to hear success stories!

I have a Victron 3kw Multiplus in my rig, with the Bluetooth dongle, and a BMV-712 battery monitor. These work well and are simple to operate.

When/if I go solar I will use a Victron controller for that too.

Excellent! I am a big fan of the Multiplus II for 50A RVs. Simple as dirt to install.

Now the 24V version is available and the 48V will be out later this year. All they do is let you use smaller cables, though.
