I had to take the two louvered doors off to get mine out. First, I turned off the hot and cold water feed to the washer/dryer. Then I took the doors off and removed the front of the drip pan. I had to pull the unit forward far enough to tilt it and reach behind it to remove the drain hose and unscrew both water hoses. After that, it was a matter of sliding it out of the closet.

I gave mine to a neighbors friend. He was a large, strong man and he simply picked up the washer/dryer and carried it up to the front door and down the stairs. Easy peasy!

Mine has a cover in the bottom of the compartment over the machine that allows access to the hoses and electric plug. To get mine out I had to remove the doors and the bottom trim. Just look for screw tops in the wood trim that meets the floor. This is a really tight fit in my rig.

Good luck!

There may be a removable panel in the floor of the cabinet above the washer, allowing you to reach down from above to shut off water and disconnect electric and duct.
