Actually, I was shocked at how much water the ventless ones use for drying. In an old training manual, Splendide said they use 5 gallons of water per hour of drying.
The ventless model of the newer 2100XC uses 2.5 gallons of water per hour of drying.
It's less than the older model, but still more than I would have thought.
And to the OP: They swear the ventless models don't add heat or humidity to the surrounding area. And actually, my vented model does
do that sometimes, exhausting hot wet air through the detergent drawer. When I notice it doing it, I pour about 1/2 a cup of water in the drawer and it stops.
