Has anyone had trouble when replacing a very old toilet with a new one? The old water line won't connect to the new toilet. I was replacing the AquaMagic SL, which may be original in my 82' Mini Winnie, with an AquaMagic V. The connection looks like its the right size, but it just wont go on. Pictures attached.

.... as Old Biscuit said above, plus add an inline shutoff valve. The shark bites can be a little pricey, but youíre only buying one, so do it right. Attachment 327100
Depending on your existing feed you may need a couple of adapters. I made the change on mine when I replaced my toilet about four years ago, as shown.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I never heard of 1/2 inch Quest but the RV is almost the same age as me so I guess I wouldn't. I called up Thetford CS but they weren't any help. The Shark connector looks viable but the linked supply hose doesn't say anything about Quest. You sure that 2nd option would work?
