Water heater - Gas side not working!

Asking for a freind who is on the road. They have a dual function hot water tank. They are able to get the electric side to work but the gas side won't start up.

My first thought was the Thermal Cut-off? If that is blown will it allow the electric side to continue? Any other suggestions are welcome.

They need the gas side because their 50amp rig is blowing the Parks 30amp breaker so they are trying to reduce the load

Does any other gas appliance work?

If it has a 'thermal cut off' then it would be an Atwood
**Suburban desn't use one

If the RV is 2004 or newer then NO ---thermal cut off shuts down ALL DC which is used for Electric and Gas control/functions

If the RV is 2004 or newer...........they need to follow the DC to/from circuit board GAS side

Actual Brand/Model would be helpful
Should always provide Brand/Models for questions about 'Appliances' as so many different ones were used

Thanks for replies

Thanks for the replies guys. The other gas appliances are functioning, that was the first thing tested.

The wiring diagram is a huge help! Thanks!

I blew the road dust out of the propane part. Cleaned up the Spark & Sense electrode. Control board will shut down propane if it fails to detect propane lighting.
That old camper saw some dusty roads. Anyway, there are service manuals with cleaning instructions.
