Water heater switch

The 120v part of my water heater is not working. Switch is not lighting. I am trying to understand testing continuity? Switch has three prongs, Power, Acc & Ground. With my tester i get a beep on power to acc, with the switch "on" but not from power to ground.. So do I need a new switch, any ideas where to buy one? Switch says R13-249 20A 12vdc
Thanks Don

The light in the switch is probably burned out. The switch operates a relay inside the water heater and that turns the 120VAC heating element on/off. Try heating the water with the switch on and see if the water gets hot. The light in the switch probably is not replaceable, so if you want it to light up, you'll need to replace the switch.

You don't mention what brand of coach you have but calling the mfgr is always a good bet if you can.

On edit: Oops. I see that you did list your brand of coach.

I just plugged the p/n you listed into Google and you shouldn't have any trouble finding a replacement.

Fixed... Found a switch at O'Reilly Auto for $3.99.
Thanks, Don
