Water issues

I have a 2002 Winnebago and when hook up to city water no water in the plumbing but water goes into the fresh water tank. . I switched to fill water and the water goes through the water system

Err, that sounds like it's working normally. I'm confused, what is it that's going wrong?

Sounds like the valve was installed upside down so the labels are reversed. As long as “tank fill” routes city water through the system and does not also allow water into the tank, it should be okay. Just change the labels so you don’t get confused.

I got a sharpie marker and remarked mine so that it makes sense to ME. Definitely sounds like reversed markings.
