It could be either way but I went for the down side. Reasoning that when I blow out lines for the winter- only use anti-freeze in the traps and blow out all the water lines -there would be no chance for some water to linger above it. The sharkbite has a 2psi break open so 50 psi will have no problem. The lines are fairly flexible and will go back where they were if you disturb them. The check valve can be anywhere that is more than 5/8" above the floor. That space is to allow room for the removal tool. Good luck and enjoy your dry cabinet!

Makes sense - thanks again for the advice!

Make sure your release valve is open anytime you flush your black tank.

Not sure I follow; are you talking about the waste gate? If so, I always have that open when flushing the tank.

Sounds like you will have a fully functional and safe black tank flush now. An added bonus is that the precious tp stored under there will stay dry and safe!
