Water leak at fitting

I have a water inlet feed to a toilet (in a Winnebago View) that is seeping a bit at the fitting and there seems to be nothing I can do to stop it. I've tried using thread sealant, etc., but nothing has any effect. It is not leaking at the threads but rather at the back of the knurled tightening ring. I could try a new washer but the local RV place doesn't have on that fits. I actually suspect a bad fitting (I have had them leak before where replacement was the only cure) and of course the easiest thing is to just replace the hose but it goes under the floor and replacement would be a major PITA job. I guess as a last resort some silicone adhesive would probably stop the seepage but I hate stuff like that. Any ideas? Is there a way I can re-terminate the existing hose (typical 1/2" RV water supply line) with a new fitting?

Water leak at fitting

It is so tight in there I couldn't even get a usable shot, but it is just a standard RV water fitting. Unfortunately it is not on PEX line so re-terminating with a new fitting doesn't appear to be an option. I had an idea and inserted an appropriately-sized o-ring in the fitting and that seems to have quieted things down for now and the fitting is staying dry. Probably not an officially-approved fix but a lot better than silicone seal I guess.

You may be able to replace just the fitting.

If not pex but you state rv hose so is it gray pb stuff?

You should be able to locate a replacement end from a well stocked hardware store.

You should be able to get a camera in there or use a mirror maybe.
