Water Pump Size

Our water pump quit working. It is a Shurflo Extreme 5.7 gpm (10amp) and it looks like that size pump is not available locally or even on Amazon. The manufacture date is 2006 so it is not the original pump.
We have a single bathroom and don't run water in the kitchen and shower at the same time. We do have a washer/dryer combo, so possibly using toilet while that is running, but not the shower.
Could I replace it with a 3.5 gpm pump?

3.5 will work just fine. That's what I have now, and the washing machine works great.

I would steer clear of the one with the by-pass system. I got one of them and regret it. It will not stop running at times, so I had to screw the adjustment for the by-pass all of the way in. Now it works like the old one, but with more pressure.

Thanks to both of you. I thought it would work, but wanted more opinions.
