Water solenoid valve replacement

Hi!

I am in the process of dewinterizing our 2011 Allegro CA32. I found a lot of water coming from the solenoid water valve for the Dometic refrigerator ice maker. I have since replaced the valve and I have no more water leaks! Yea! But, I also do not have any pink liquid or slush or ice cubes coming out of the ice maker?

Any suggestions?

Howard

I am sure you have already checked to be sure you have water feeding the water valve. Have you tried blowing air through the tube exiting the water valve and up to the ice maker? If the passage is clear you should be able to. If the nozzled is frozen it will be blocked and will have to be thawed out.

water solenoid valve for ice maker

Thanks so much for your tip on checking the line going from the valve to the icemaker! It was hard to see, since it was inside another tube with a heating line. When I tightened the flair nut on the discharge side of the valve, I had totally pinched the small line closed and I could not see it!

I had to squirt both sides of the flair nut to make sure that I did not pinch the small line again. Water is now filling the ice maker!
