I am looking at the Weber Q 220 for a portable Grill, Any opinions or other recommendations??
I want to hook it to my on board LP tank. Do I need to tee into High pressure side or low pressure side.
I have e-mailed Weber but no reply yet.
Thanks Rick

Hi Latitude,
You need to tap in to the high pressure side, since the BBQ has it's own regulator.
You could use what is called an "Extend a Stay". That will allow you to connect an external LP tank and also has a provision for connecting to a BBQ or camping stove.BTW the 220 is a very fine BBQ.

On this same subject what do I need to do to use the Weber on my Cougar quick disconnect? I know that it's on the low side, is there a way to remove the regulator on the Weber?
Thanks

No,I dont believe you can.The one thing about Weber is thier great support and parts online.I recently ordered a new regulator online and it came in a week. The old one started leaking, dont know why , but it is was 3 years old and stays outside. The regulators are mounted to burner tube and grill frame.Any chance you can mount your t-fitting before your house regulator? I believe they sell a fitting for that purpose.Probable not the cheapest alternative ,but the easiest way to use the Q in that manner.

HI Frankie, I found that the Marshall Brass Extend-A-Stay would do the job. Other option is to replumb the low pressure setup on the trailer and make it high.
