What I learned about Xantrex remote
A few months ago my basic remote bit the dust. No lights no nothing. Read all sorts of threads about cables, circuit boards inside inverter, and on and on. No way to test the actual remote. Nothing short of buy and a remote and hoping for the best, short of taking it to a tech.
So I just plugged it back in waiting to figure something out. Good fortune has it. Picked it up, and it was warm to the touch. Common sense told me there had to be a signal coming thru the cable . Good cable then. If there's as signal, something must be sending it. Good circuit board then. Called the tech and he said it made sense to him.
Ten days later, new remote arrives. Plug it in. Lit up like a Christmas Tree. Ok. No guaranties, but it is at least an option for testing. Or paying a tech. Hoping this might help someone else. God Bless and safe travels.
