What is correct direction of air flow on air conditioner
The air flow seems incorrect checking to see if someone put fan on backwards. Is the flow suppose to be in from the fins in back to the side discharge. Thanks

In reading, I'm not sure what you mean. If this is a roof air, air is pulled TOWARD the fins and out the vents. I think it would be impossible to install the fan backwards, the motor would actually have to run in reverse. Again, not feasible.

Assuming you are talking about the Condenser fan (the portion of the fan closest to the rear of RV) the air is drawn in thru the fins and exits the side near the compressor. In other words, the direction is: OUTSIDE REAR/PASSENGER SIDE -> FINS -> FAN -> OUTSIDE DRIVER SIDE NEAR COMPRESSOR. That's for a Dometic or Duo Therm. The fan is a single motor with 2 squirrel cages ... I can't think of any way you could run one backwards.

Dometic ACs do not have two blower wheels. One wheel and one blade.

Sorry ... yup ... fan on condenser end.
Actually .... I think the Penguin has 2 squirrels.

The flow is in the side vents and out over the condenser.
If you have a squirrel cage blower, even if running backwards it will not blow air in the opposite direction. If run backwards, a squirrel cage blower essentially does nothing but swirl the air around a bit.

My Dometic Penguin roof airs have 2 squirrel cage blowers, (wheels).
One moves the draws in warm "inside air", blows it through the evaporator coil and out into the coach cabin.
One moves "outside air" through the condenser coils.

You're right, I forgot about low pro ACs. They have two motors also.

The direction of the inside air is important, the direction of the air flow OUTSIDE is not, however.... Consider this.
One stay in one park I was parked under cotton woods.. On my AC's the fan sucks air (And seeds) in the side and blows them into the condenser.. So I had to go topside and tear it apart and clean it,, A good cubic foot of "Cotton".
Had it sucked it in via the condenser.. I could have simply wiped those seeds off. No screwdriver needed.

On my old Coach House camper van the unknown A/C unit sucked thru the sides and out the coils out the back.
Our Damon with a MachIII sucks thru the coils first as they face the rear, then out the sides.
I like " wa8yxm" with his explanation if there was trouble...much easier to clean.
