The Splendide washer/dryer in our coach is almost 16 years old and working great, I am doing a load in it right now. The only issue I had with it was breaking the door latch because I didn't read the manual to know to wait for the light to slow flash. $40 for the part and I installed it myself.

We have had both Splendid and Whirlpool and not had issues with either but my preference is Whirlpool. Main reason is it did a better job of rinsing the soap out of the clothes. I have a skin allergy and had to double rinse with the Splendid. They both cleaned about the same. We don’t full time so probably don’t put the hours of use on ours as some. Our Whirlpool is 14 years old and still working fine.

As an FYI I have been looking for a new to me coach and most of the higher end coaches we have looked at had Whirlpool machines. I know Newmar has switched to Splendid on their newer models but from what I was told because they wanted the face of the units to gave a matching front and the Whirlpool did not. Myself I don’t care what it looks like as much as how it performs. I can’t see it when the closet door is closed anyway.

I got my 2100 XC back last week. Everything was covered under warranty from my dealer and splendid. It took almost 2 months. The time delay mostly was a dealer's fault. There were a lot of manager changes. I know they replaced the control board and something else. Let's hope it lasts.
