Boondocking? Three years ago, about 30-40% of the time. More recently, less then 5% of the time. Future? Expect 20-30% of the time to be more of the norm.
We too are energy hogs. I did install LED in the majority of the lights used the most. I sized our battery bank at double of what I thought I needed. I did this to have reserve capacity, and allow for shaded campgrounds and cloudy days. As well as living basically on the top 25% of SOC, and thus lower Life Cycle usage.
I was going to shift to Lithium when the last bank of Lifeline L16's went out, but they went out about 1 1/2 - 2 years earlier then I expected. (My error, as I had settings off while the coach is in storage, and looks like I 'walked my battery bank down', via sulfate build up.) Lifeline helped me quite a bit, as well as Magnum and many members here on this board, and other's. And then Lifeline offered me a replacement bank of L16's at a price I just could not pass up. I like the performance of our bank, and it was more about saving weight in my thinking to switch to Lithium.
We all look at things from different needs and perspectives. That's why you see crossover in responses between Wet Cells - AGM's - Lithium - Carbon. Form almost full time boon docking - to none, to very little... No right or wrong, just choices on which way to go, and budget expenditure

Best to you, and all,
