My awning failed to come in during 111f temps while in Death Valley. I's been threatening to quit for a long time. When it cooled down I got it back some more but in the end I had to push it in while the switch was pressed.

I need to order a drive unit. It looks like these all have the same drive unit. There are two on that internet site and I want to check locally to see if I can get one. Here is the question: I want to know the model number of my awning so that I can be sure and so that I can ask for it by number at NAPA or a RV supply. I don't know where the model number is written on my awning. If it is inside I can open it but It will be a bear to get it closed again so I'd like to know it's there. Does anyone know where it is or if they are all the same drive?

The model number is written on the metal roller tube and can only be viewed with the awing fully extended. The data plate is located on the metal tube just a few inches from the front cap. If you were to post a picture of the part you need, we may be able to assist you with the part number. I recall there may be two types of motor assemblies. The important factor is how the motor arm fits into the awning leg. A close up picture will help us verify the motor/arm configuration. Better yet, get the part number of the awning from the tube.

If you want to look on-line at motors and just match what you have:

Older Style Motor: 3310423.209B for White and 3310423.209U for Black
Newer Curved Style: 3307923.115B for White and 3307923.115U for Black

Thank you. That is exactly what I need to know. I can roll it out and wrangle it back in again since I know where it is. Thanks.

Naturally it is never as simple as it seems. Here is what I have. Pictures of manual, label and the motor in place are attached.

The 2 in Amazon are for the 9100 series and I have the 8100 series. I called Dometic and I need a 3307923.115U (assuming they car the black ones.) They want about $900 shipped. With diesel at 7$ and food up a third I will try to find s better price but there is the answer.. Thanks for the help. Never would have gotten that model #.

We need the same motor - 3307923.115U For our 08 Allegro Bus Weather Pro Awning. AT least we think its the motor. The motor does run, but doesn't turn the tube. Sounds like its not connected. Of course, the awning is out...
Has anyone done the emergency manual retraction? Remove a bolt and walk it in with a strap? Does that really work? We'd like to be able to drive home

Yes. Same. I bet your problem is in the gear box which is part of the assembly you referenced. I think ours has a gear problem also along with a weak motor. We found that if we got up on a ladder and gave the awning tube a twist in the right direction it would seem to get over an obstruction and roll in some more. I checked and the price from Dometic , an authorized dealer or NAPA was insanely high and would take 2 weeks plus to receive. Amazon has one that will arrive in several days for $200 to $300 less. Genuine part.

We will do that when we can be somewhere where we can take the time to get deliveries from them. The project took a back seat when the batteries gave out and the solar controller quit. Whew!
