Which residential fridge?

Looking to change out a Norcold 821 (single width door).

How did you secure it from moving? Side/ side or front to back.

Which make/ model is it?

I replaced my ole Dometic with a 10cu ft residential last spring.

I cut a piece of angle metal and screwed it to the top and I cut a metal strip for use on the bottom. Photos and short article on my web site.

I forgot to specify it need to be similar in size, double doors are to big for the space.
Waiter21 thanks for the ideas and links.

I made some pinch blocks for the rear hold down and cleats for the front (lower) and some small L brackets with 3M double sided tape so no holes drilled in unit. No issues after a couple of years.

Itinerant - we have not done this project but have researched in case we ever need to replace our Norcold in a hurry. I would suggest you measure the HxWxD of your current fridge, and also poke around in the surrounding cabinets to see where you can make any extra space. I've found the limited height of most RV fridges to be the most limiting factor in finding a replacement. With the dimensions then search for a fridge that would fit, and go from there.

Of all the appliance sites on the web I have found AJ Madison to be the most detailed. They have a particularly large selection of small "apartment sized" appliances. You can plug in the exact dimensions you want, or a range, and find fridges that would work in your space.

Good luck!
