My two cents worth. Victron is probably the best system out there. It is a system with many components that work together. However, it is quite expensive. Nothing wrong with that, you pay for what you get.
One very important consideration with regard to Victron components. Do not buy from Amazon. The manufacturer warranty “may” not apply if you have an issue. Buy only from a Victron dealer. There isn’t much difference in price for the same product. Fo me I would not take the risk with my power system , just to save a few bucks.
Next, decide on what you need/want as the end goal. Off grid, just provide power while driving, run ac units off batteries, etc. for me(for now) I just got a well reviewed inverter to allow the dw to run a few outlets when we don’t run the generator. Works good for now. I like to keep it simple.

Victron sets the lowest price their products can be sold for(like a lot of higher end companies), that's why you usually see the same price for the same item everywhere. It makes more sense from a customer service & warrenty standpoint to buy from an authorized dealer.

The Victron MultiPlus 3000W 2x120 is just under $1100. From my quick searches, that's a LOT more reasonable than the some of the Magnum & Xantrex units w comparable features.

I have 2 inverters in my class C, a Victron 12/1200 which runs my residential fridge, Starlink & some chargers, it uses very little energy & hardly any when idle. Then I have a 3000 watt renogy which I only turn on when running my air conditioner, microwave or coffee maker etc. they are mated to a 600 ah lithium phosphate battery bank. I installed the system myself & it’s a little too complicated to explain here but you can view it on YouTube www.youtube.com/@watchlls

Renogy

I recently installed a Renogy 2000 watt inverter/charger in our diesel motorhome. It cost $535 on Amazon. It works perfectly.

Air conditioner on 600ah? How long can you run it?

I was figuring about 150ah of 12v LiFePO4/hour for the air-conditioner for 9 hrs.

Thanks

You better recheck your #s. My Air Conditioner pulls 14Amps(way more @ startup) on 120V AC. That's 140A on 12V DC(not counting inverter loss). 150AH of batt will not give you 9hrs! Although I haven't changed over to the Victron unit yet & rewired the way my Airs on set up, I have 920AH of batt & calculations are about 5-6hrs.

If you are going to power your air conditioning off batteries and inverter you should invest in a soft start for the AC. This device reduces startup amp draw.

This may also permit the AC to be run off shore power from home or mooch-docking.

150Ah @ 12.8VDC = 1,920Wh of battery capacity.

Discharge limit of 80% = 1,536Wh of usable battery capacity.

Inverter efficiency @ >75% load = 85% ?? (Check your manual)

Battery capacity left to run A/C unit = 1,306Wh.

Your 150Ah battery will run a typical roof mount A/C unit for about an hour, if the A/C runs continuously, like on a hot day. Cycling will obviously increase run time.

Sorry, I did not fully state my numbers... 150ah per hour for 9hrs; 1350ah (at least 4x400ahx12v or equivalent) . THAT'S A LOT OF BATTERY and then to use the AC all day the next day when it's really hot AND to recharge those batteries to be ready for quite hours... OMG, my head is reeling...
