Whirlpool fridge not cooling

My Whirlpool French door frige is not cooling. I think it is the thermostat. Whirlpool does not have service manuals available. Has anyone had experience doing this. Or can you tell me how to get to it. Service rates today are extremely high. Thank you.

Have you tried the appliance part companies that have on line trouble shooting for home appliances? Some have video's as well as live chat or 800 numbers. Prices on the parts are also closer to dealer than retail.

Service manuals are located either behind the toe vent plate or the top door hinge covers.
