Xantrex Freedom SW 3012 / SCP does not connect
 My Xantrex SCP stays dark (not on) when I connect it to the SW 3012. I bought a new SCP and the remote adapter connections for the RJ-11 line.
4 interstate batteries all less that a year old, water's good.
I also have the shunts on both the 3012 and the SCP.
I've tried to connect on both the installed cable and another cable [that tested good] both SCP's stay dark.
I can turn on the 3012 manually, but it always pops a fault [that I can clear and stays clear] I have no idea what the fault is because the SCP is off. The inverter on light is lit, the charging light is flashing but I'm not getting any voltage at the battery nor do I have full power in the coach [negative draw on the batteries].
The house batteries do charge with the motor running and I have full 12V power in the coach, just not with the inverter. I also had it out in the sun yesterday and noted the solar was at 12V but it was not charging the system.

How old is the inverter? Sounds like it's defective. Are you comfortable with gaining access to the AC in and out connections? Get a meter and check for AC in, and AC out, check for DC in and DC out, while the inverter is on. With two remote panels doing the same thing, either the inverter is dead or the interconnecting cable is bad.

Not sure how old it is, but I have the original build list and the original was an older model so the 3012 was swapped out sometime along the way. The AC pass though is working, I have AC power in the coach when I'm hooked to shore, but none off the batteries, and no DC to the batteries with shore or generator. The batteries do charge with chassis power (alternator)
Like I said the charging light is blinking which is suppose to indicate its charging but when I take a reading at the battery, cable off it reads nothing, and cables on I have a normal draw from the coach.

Sounds like you are being pointed to a defective inverter. No inverter output, either DC or AC, no remote panel operation, a fault pops up, but you don't know what it is. Is there an internal circuit breaker? That's all that I can think of, sorry.

Yeah, unfortunately I've come the pretty much the same conclusion. The Xantec service center here in Dallas (Indoor RV) is so backed up they won't accept anything for repair. They will do system check and evaluation but they won't keep it house.

Bill - did you ever get your inverter working or did you end up replacing it? I am having the identical issue (SCP not working - tried two, no DC charging, no AC Inverter output). If replaced, what did you replace it with? Thank you!

If you have an old phone line from a trace freedom you need to flip one end of the cable ends over. IE cut it off and put a new one on the other way. It's buried in the install instructions. Don't try and put the end on without a crimp tool. Unless you already had it working.
