Xantrex Freedom X2000 Inverter

Does this inverter have a user-input setting for battery amp hour capacity? I’ve gone from 200ah to 920ah. I haven’t found a setting in the config screen that would allow me to input it. So, I assume it doesn’t matter? I have read where some brands do require that data. Thanks!

You only need to limit or reduce the charger settings for very small batteries or more importantly if you need to reduce available charging current due to input applications. I believe that inverter only has a 100-amp charger capability so you would want it at max for a battery capacity of 400 A/H or more which would the minimum required to feed a 2000-watt load. If planning to use this inverter/charger to charge the batteries from generator keep in mind that you are looking at a 9-hour charge rate. If you don't have, install a battery monitoring system so that you can manage usage and charging.

Thanks! Have both solar and genset. The EPOCH’s have a sufficient BMS. I don’t envision a scenario that would have me pull the batteries down so much as to require 9 hours charge time from the genset. Probably don’t have enough onboard LP anyway! 🫣
