Xantrex remote instructions?

Can't seem to find out how to use the setup button on this. My house batteries are measuring 12.4 volts but the battery state on the remote shows red for low. If I hold the setup button until it flashes then I can press the charge button and it changes the voltage displayed from 10 to 14.5 depending on how many times I press it. What's that doing?? Thanks.

Thank you. How do I determine the amp-hour rating on the battery bank? I have (4) wet cell batteries that only say 120 minutes @ 75 amps.

I would set the control for a 400 amp battery system that is what it sounds like.

They are 226 amp hour deep cycle batteries
Once you set the system up for 400 amp wet cell batteries turn the charger on and you are set.

The charger has been on for over 24 hrs now and the battery state still only shows on red for low charge. If I turn the charger off it goes to orange for medium charge. Last year within maybe 3-4 hrs of being plugged in it would go to full charge. I'm thinking batteries may be going out. But they still measure 12.3 volts total and 6.24 volts each.

dragracer, i have the exactly same remote i might be able to answer your questions -
1) for capacity - first, what kind of inverter do you have? if you have a 458 series, yes you can select an ah; all others like 20d, 25d... are not allowed to change.
2) equalizing - if your batteries are not gel, you may do the followings steps: first press setup button until it starts flashing (in setup mode); secondly, press and hold both setup and charge, until the battery status leds start rolling from the left to right (from low to high). release and let it finish in approximately 8 hours.
when this is complete, you should see the green light on battery status.
good luck.

When you have the charging on what amps do you read on the amp scale above
the inverter button?
Have you done a reset yet?
If not unplug what looks like a phone cord from the charger and plug it back in after
waiting 30 seconds, that will reset the unit.

My coach will not charge battery unless 12 volt coach power is on. The power light glows when plugged in even if switch is off. Cycle the power switch. Good luck buddy.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have the 458 inverter. Tried rebooting it by unplugging the remote. The power switch is definitely in the "Use" mode on the coach. I just started a equalize cycle....we'll see in 8 hrs if that helps. Hopefully it will!

That's a good start, however it sounds like the batteries are weak.
