Xantrex RV3012GS / RC7 says "Batt. Full" even though battery is < 12.0V

I'm hoping that someone has a easy fix.

My Xantrex RV3012GS inverter / charger is not charging my batteries well because no matter what the voltage seems to be, the "Batt. Full" LED is always lit solid and it only charges at "float charging" (because it thinks the batteries are charged).

Any suggestions? Is there a setting I should be changing?

Let us know. Thanks,
Mike

Unplug the battery temp sensor and see if that helps. Its a phone jack type plug on the inverter/charger.

Sounds good! Thanks for the suggestion. I don't know why didn't think about that !!! I've unplugged and re-plugged the control panel but I don't remeber trying the temp sensor.

Thanks again for the suggestion. That did the trick. (Worse thing about it is thinking back, I had to do the same thing on my previous RV).

Did you leave the Battery Temp sensor unplugged? or did you plug it back in after a short delay?

I never did - mostly because I didn't think of it!
I'll have to try plugging it back in next time I take the MH our of storage.

Your temp sensor should be replaced if it tests bad. During the cold months the charger won't ramp up voltage when it gets cold out and the reverse when batteries get hot.
