2023 Tellaro - Add second 190W panel

I would like to add a second 190W panel to my Tellaro.

I know the solar controller is only cheap Go Power 10amp, so that has to be swapped out.

My question is - can I go with a used 190W panel (somewhat degraded I would imagine) or do I have the match the second panel with a new 190W?

In either case, I will swap out the 10am for a new controller, at least 30amp

Ron

As long as the new panel has approximately the same Voltage output as the other 190w panel, it should be no issue (and you could save 50% or more with the used panel). Test before you buy.

When you get a new controller, you might consider switching to an MPPT solar charge controller (even if your panels are "12v" panels). Others have reported (and I've done the experiment myself on one of my RVs) getting ~25% more AHs charging from an MPPT controller vs PWM controller.

Good luck!
