AM Solar Smart Phase Selector

I'm working on installing solar and a 3000 watt inverter to a 50 amp RV without rewiring or adding a sub panel. Does anyone know anything about the smart phase selector?

Yes, a very clever device that will allow you to power both legs (all circuits) from your inverter vs. using a subpanel.

The product gets good reviews on the solar forums. But keep in mind that just because you can energize all your circuits a 3000W inverter is not powerful enough to mimic a 50A shore powered connection. (50A = 12000W).

I have one and it's a great little device.

I would be curious to open it up and see what's inside. I'm guessing it's a couple $13.00 contactors and a relay.

I swapped the breakers that I wanted to the inverter to power to L1 in the panel.
