I missed the sale while waiting for a reply about the thickness. I emailed if I could still get the same price but haven't heard back yet. I decided on the 200+ 25% bifacial as they fit how I want to install them. I will have 2 strings of 6 in series with 2 magnum PT100's. I did 2 solar preps in my build so that helped me decide which way to go.

Wow, 2400W of solar panels is a lot!
The Magnum PT-100 is a very expensive charge controller. Magnum says one controller will handle up to 6600 watts.

I read somewhere (on the internet so it must be true) that temperature coefficient is important, but Hightec doesn't list those specs.

10 Fan, I think I asked you and you answered me in the Newmar thread, but what did you use for mounting hardware to get it level with the skirting? Any problem mounting them between the skirting and the AC units, I need to make a mockup, 26.6" is going to be a tight fit. Have you had any issue with the P-100 low voltage/watts?

I have purchased the mppt controller and two of the 200+25 panels . I have provided pic’s. I plan to use this system to keep my 300 A H of flooded batteries charged. Plan on using 10 ga wire from panels to controller and 8 ga from controller to batteries. Any comments?

I haven't bought anything yet, still confirming everything. I will be buying all the aluminum this week for the mounting and will let you know. I will post pic's as they always help. I'm using 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" X 1/4" aluminum angle attached to the façade and awning brackets on each side. S.S. hinges from there to the panels. Other side will use pieces of the same only 1/8" thick to the roof (VHB tape) and a 1/4 20 wing nut to attach the panel to the bracket. This will keep the cost on mounting hardware down.

I spoke with Magnum and was told 2 PT100's for my application. I have to call again because the tech told me 2 things that were wrong (according to the wiring diagrams)

I didn't check the voltage drop but the difference in $ to go larger on wire size is small compared to adding or changing something later. Just a thought.

I just bought one of their panels the other day. Had them on my MH & son had one on his 5th wheel. They were 175w a year ago. Now they are 200w for $185.

Are you planning on tilting your panels? If not would the bifacial be of any benefit?

The way I understand it and was told the same from High tec is the back side works off of refracted light (ambient) not reflected. The panel is also clear so some light will go thru. The panels will be about 8" above a white roof. I will never know if any power comes from the back, but it should. I called them today and was given the sale price of $ 185 each. I came home this weekend and remeasured. They will fit perfect. I could fit another 3 or 4 but will stick with 12.

I had to look up bifacial solar panels.

Bifacial modules produce solar power from both sides of the panel. Whereas traditional opaque-backsheeted panels are monofacial, bifacial modules expose both the front and backside of the solar cells. When bifacial modules are installed on a highly reflective surface (like a white TPO roof or on the ground with light-colored stones), some bifacial module manufacturers claim up to a 30% increase in production just from the extra power generated from the rear.
