Connecting charge contoller to shunt question

Hi,

Renogy have told my vharge contoller needs to be connected to the shunt for my Victron. Should it be connected on the input (battery side) or output (coach side)?

Thanks,

Nothing between the negative battery terminals or bus bar and shunt.

Thanks both, that makes sense now.

My Victron is seeing the voltage from the charge controller but is not charging.

That makes a lot of sense now.

My Victron was not reading any of the juice from the Solar, battery was at 87% and when I plugged in to the 30amp at home it jumped up to 100%.
