LED Light Issue
Hello Everybody...
So I am trying to replace all of my halogens with side pin LEDs from M4 Products.
The issue is that the side pins that the LEDs use are just a tiny bit wider in diameter than the halogen bulbs they are replacing and I cannot get the LED light pins in far enough to make contact.
I have tried using a di-electric to lubricate the small female receptacles but no joy. Also tried "widening" the opening a little with a very small finish nail, no joy.
Any other ideas? I really am hoping to get these replaced!
Thanks for any input.

You could try a pair of small needle nose pliers to put a zig zag in the pins to be wide enough to plug them in. If it's too much of a difference, I'd return the LEDs.

I would contact Steve at M4. I have found him to be most helpful even to the point of saying he doesn't have a product that will work for your application.

Dielectric grease is an insulator btw. It's waterproof to help keep corrosion from forming.

I did not have that problem with my ECO-Leds.
But I did have the problem of leads being too LONG on one of them, (Easily fixed)
The suggestion is post photo of lamp and socket, from there I can advise.

Steve has been very easy to deal with at M4 but we still can't get them to fit, unfortunately, and I really want them to work.
WA8YXM, I went to the Eco LED website and I do not see any "side two-pin" options. Am I missing something?
Sorry to say, but I have one more trick up my sleeve but if that does not work, I will have to return all of the LEDs to M4.

There are a bunch of companies using the Eco Led name. I was amazed when I googled. I spent way more time than I like. This is not the proper part but WBU-CW12 is the 1156/1141 replacement
They make a module that is just the light disc, with two straight wires that come of the center of the back and are either straight or bent 90 degrees so they come out the side depending on the model, But I do not have that card handy.
Any dealer that handles the one I linked to should have the other as well
FOUND IT!!!!! About half way down the page, Says "Sideways Position"
How to Choose the Right LED Bulb

Roger that...and thanks WA8YXM!
I am sending one of my receptacles to M4 so Steve can see what is up. The issue I am having should not be an issue so hopefully he can figure it out.
Thanks again....WK0P

Update: M4 is making a run of .08 diameter (thinner than the ones I received which I believe are .10) pins to fit my particular coach. I have not received them as of yet but will report back once I get them.
I am hoping they fit right in and I can finish up this project. I also want to say that Steve at M4 has been very easy to deal with and has been very helpful in getting me exactly what I need.
The exterior LEDs are almost done and the clearance lights, rear tail and signal lights look great!
One interesting thing: After hearing over and over that the "blinker mechanism" box that controls the blinkers would have to be replaced I did NOT have to replace it in the end. The original works just fine and everything blinks the same as before.
