I think he's asking if you can install a 4000 watt inverter and appropriate batteries, using the inverter to feed the coach (and power all the generator accessories).

I haven't seen anyone do this. Assuming this is an off-grid setup, a 4000 watt inverter and a battery bank large enough to power it (say for running AC) adds a lot of weight. It's not practical.

I have seen "solar" trailers towed that essentially are this setup - large battery banks with panels all over the place. Plug the RV into the trailer.

Basically this is close to what we have: 1420 W of solar and 9600 W/hr of LFP, 4. kW inverter etc. it may take a bit of thought and design; however, we have used line/gen once in 13 months. It can be done.

And we have run the ac for 3.6 to 4 hours as combination of solar and battery suite. It is just a choice of life style

Thank you it seems like a lot of wasted space when there are so many small portable units out there.

The only problems with a lot of PbS batteries is weight and cube. Someone on Open Range site has placed six or eight large batteries in front bay. This is quite a bit of weight. I guess you are thinking about putting your batteries in different spots as available. Just be site the frame can support. You might also consider installing solar to keep the battery suite at 100% as adjunct to gen set.
