Solar Charging

I am going to add a trick-l-start to my coach but also want to get a solar charger for when i am not using it. The solar panel would be temporary set up so not mounted to roof. So the question is what is a good solar charger setup to use for this. I have 2 12v chassis and 4 6v house batteries. I am thinking of approx 40w - 60w panel or less. so I am looking for either a complete kit or dyi if i know what to get. I am thinking i can use the solar and trick-l-start in conjunction with each other. I have a disconnect on my house batteries to the converter and a one in the coach, also i have a disconnect for the chassis batteries also. It only sits for approx 3 months being the longest

Thanks
Pete

You and I are like minded. I bought my Kit on Amazon, they offer complete kits. I have two 100watt panels and a 30 amp controller w/cables. I keep my panels un-attached and set them up on the ground. I installed my controller by the battery bank with easy access and use the connectors as a quick-disconnect for the panels. I don't know if it is necessary, but I unplug my Converter when using the solar charger. When you store your RV, you will have solar by day and trickle charge by night.

Renogy 200 watt 12 volt monocrystalline solar starter kit with Wanderer is a good pick. I have this kit with the RoHS controller, I think the Wanderer is equivalent or better. You can go to a max of 400 watts (4 panels). You'll get about 10-11 amps at 12.9 Volts from a 200 watt system, in direct sun light. the price right now is $314.99 on Amazon, pricey but has good reviews. There are single panel kits for around $200.00. Good luck!!!!
