Solar panel effects on handling
I always try to load the coach with the weight low, even in the interior cabinets. It would seem that putting 200 lbs of solar panels on the coach roof would have an adverse effect on handling. I had been considering flexible panels for that reason, however, there seems to be too many downsides to them.
What have folks noticed?

Haven’t noticed any difference. Two residential 225 watt panels + two 100 watt panels.

As an percentage of weight it just won’t make any real difference unless maybe you’re hot rodding it around sharp corners.

Not enough weight to make a difference unless you're roadracing your RV.

We have 9 panels mounted - don't notice anything including noise or instability. Given the weight of modern panels and mounting brackets check to see how many panels would = 200#s.

Looks like I am in the minority. I did notice the difference during the first trip after the install. 11 panels, 35 lbs each, with additional wires, hardware, combiner box, etc, probably total about 400 lbs were put on the roof.
The feeling was about greater side to side swing, especially on a curved road and/or cross wind.
But, shortly after that I got used to it. No longer feeling that way now.
