Solar panel output question

Theoretically, will a solar panel have the same output throughout the day if it were capable of tracking the sun at the optimal angle. In other words if you had a clear sky for the entire day and tracked the sun would the power output be constant the entire day?

I suspect it would be close.

With the cost per watt coming down many have found that it's convenient to just add panels and not worry about tilting.

Probably close, but some lower output in the AM and PM swing cycles, as the light has more atmosphere to penetrate...

But for sure, tracking the sun will provide the highest potential generation!

Best,
Smitty

My motto, is not enough solar, until I run out of Real estate.

Tracking the Sun will definitely work, if you have limited space.

I like this site for School, which everyone should go to. https://www.batterystuff.com/kb/tool...-tutorial.html
