Solar panels kicking butt today
I have 6x200W panels flat mounted on my roof. Went to the camper today to do some work and flipped on the panels. The Cerbo GX was showing 978W and cramming 71A into the LFP batteries. This was at 1100 with the sun at about 50 deg elevation. That was awesome.

Solar is fun....nice work!
I was out boondocking last weekend for 2 days. Unfortunately, my batteries never dipped below 82% (...I've only got 200AH in that RV). Is it wrong for me to secretly wish my batteries would dip down to about 40-50% so that I could get to see the full strength/charge of my 500w of solar?!?

I may or may not have purposely put a space heater in the truck camper to run the two SOK 206ah batteries down so I could verify a) low voltage cutout and b) that the 860 watts of solar on the roof (4x215w) would fill 'em up

Went Iowa this weekend.. Sunday was to be mostly sunny.. After breakfast, we had my 300A FLA bank down to 12.2 volts..
I have 400 watts on roof, 200 more not hooked up, dont ask..
At 6:30 am 3.8 A , 10 30am 8.9A about 1:00 13.4A 3:10 16A.. not bad as sun was angled all day never over top..
Today, Monday I got back to PA at 9am so batteries at near full..
Ran out to RV at noon, I am at work and sun it almost over it perfect.. , grbbed left overs, tossed on converter, 3 min on high in Mikeywave.. Looked at solar 22.6A.- 23.1
impressed , so i guees they doo work,,
NOW I have to add some wiring to the other 2 100watt panels and I guess a bigger controller, the 30A is gonna be marginal..

As a full-time boondocker solar is great, here is just a sample for this month. 1,280w mounted flat on the roof.

I was impressed as I have maybe $600 dollars into my system and it worked well in real world..
I do not need blue tooth, reports etc,, that stuff is nice, i a gadget guy,, but in a older RV that is simple design and that does 2 hand fulls of trips a year, mayye be more,,, works well. happy rving

The balance from the rest of the month. Makes living off of solar/ batteries pretty comfortable.
