Southern AZ Solar Installer Referral

Anyone?

Im in the Tucson area currently, but was going to head over to Yuma, Quartzite, or Phoenix.

I'm in need of a referral for an installer who can run a new line from the controller in the kitchen (mid- ship area) to the batteries.

Thanks.

I have heard very few good reviews of Solar Bill. If you know a lot about solar, and know exactly what you want, and make sure they do things just as you want, it might be ok to go there, on the other hand Discount Solar has a much better reputation.

In an ideal world, the solar charge controller should be very close to the battery pack.

A good solar charge controller has temperature compensation in it and this should be as close as possible to the battery temperature.

If you mean - the state of charge indication meter - those can be further away without causing any major issues.

If I understand it correctly, your project is more about running a wire between locations than solar related so it can be potentially done by anyone that works on RVs.

It might be too small of project to gather much interest, so it might fall into the "minimum number of hours" category. In our shop we have a 2 hr minimum and probably will shift to a 4 hr minimum sometime in 2019.
