Tesla batteries

Has anyone looked into Tesla or one of their competitors batteries for uses in RV's? Below is a link that shows some of Telsa's competitors. I would hope this would bring down the cost of lithium batteries.

I'm not convinced that an RV needs the battery capacity of such high tech batteries. Unless you plan to boondock off grid full time I don't see the need for that much electrical storage. The solar array to maintain the batteries would possibly be larger than your RV roof area. With so many solar panels, you'd only need the battery at night, and most RV's don't need that much electricity in the few hours before sleep. JMHO

LOL, clearly you don't follow the forums where they all want to run the microwave, hot water heater, induction stove and 3 AC's at the same time

Why would you need to heat hot water? I prefer to cook on a gas stove, and 3 A/C units would reduce the area available for solar panels. Most RVs have generators, if in a spot you can't use a generator, connect to shore power.

Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.
Why?
Because they can?
Because they dislike the noise of a generator?
Because they do not want to plug into shore power?
Because they have the flexibility to NOT have to be in a campground 4 feet away from their neighbor?
Because it doesn't create greenhouse gases?
Because they put 1800 watts of solar on their roof and they feel the need to use what the sun is providing?
Not all only have solar on the roof they have portable panels they deploy on the ground.

Good question. Also would like to know why we park on the driveway, and drive on the parkway.

Prices are continually dropping on solar and batteries and that's a good thing.
