Trimetric and Tracer BN Series Monitor Discrepancy

Just installed the TM-2030-RV. I was getting tired worrying about the SOC on my two 6 volts. I know there are cheaper monitors with shunts on ebay and amazon but I like to go with the tried and true.

I have a 260 watt panel with a Tracer 20 amp BN series mppt with the remote monitor. The best I've seen under load at full sun with the Tracer monitor is 7 amps.

Just for a test I turned on all the light, not yet LEDs, two vent fans and the inverter with the TV on. The Tracers showed 5 amps coming in while the Trimetric showed 9. The voltage on the batteries were almost the same on both. Was the Tracer monitor totally wrong in the amps?

have neither of them, don't know the answer. but my magnum remote rc50 is never agreeing with the battery monitor (by xantrex). with the help of my voltmeter and the on-screen reading of midnite controller, i concluded that the rc50 is way off, especially when i use big draw devices such as induction cooktop or microwave. if you do the same, you should know which one is not reliable.
(my wild guess is - the tracer might be correct, as the tracer is closer to the battery, while trimetric is remotely connected; distance makes difference).

The Tracer is showing the photovoltaic current from the panel to the charge controller and the Trimetric is showing the charging current from the charge controller to the battery. The photovoltaic voltage is higher than the charging voltage, so both would be the same power.

Thanks Countryfit and John. Going out this weekend and I'll play with my multimeter.
