Victron 2000 inverter charger

I really don't know were start, but here goes. I installed a a Victron 2000 inverter charger, DC to DC charge unit and a 400 MH lithium battery. From the beginning I have had problems with charging the battery. The DC to DC has always worked charging the lithium battery from the MH engine generator. Would not charge from 30 amp power and would not charge from the Onan gen. After many calls and online troubleshooting with Contentious Resources they ask me to return the inverter. They benched checked it and it had issues they sent it off for repair. Upon return and reinstallation the battery charges when plugged into 30 amp power now and the DC to DC unit from the MH engine gen. However when I start the Onan gen the Victron will click charge maybe 3 second and quite charging. This repeats several times.
TROUBLESHOOTING, I have done: Disconnected the generator power lines installed 30 amp plug (female) started the generator with my 30 amp cord plugged in (bypassing the transfer switch) (which I have replaced) same results. So I have a small gas gen plugged it in MH works as should. I connected Onan gen to a fan powers fan works fine. It just will not power the MH through the Victron Inverter charger. Looking for suggestions. I have some other threads on here before the Victron was sent off. Thanks

Send me a pm with your TeamViewer data and I can look into it, it's a fairly common problem. Pls Note that my timezone is Berlin Germany

Have you confirmed 60 htz and 120 volts from your generator.

Lots of stuff runs on bad power but maybe not the Victron.

The Victron has a setting for "weak" grid, but most problems I've seen is tripping the max amperage with the combined ac-load and dc-charging.

UPDATE: I want to give Ludo a big thank you for helping me with Victron unit. A very knowledgeable gentlemen with ample patience to help someone that is not too computer savvy.
That being said I am planning a short trip to test everything out. Hopefully I can recharge my battery with the generator as well as the DC to DC charger and shore power. Wanting to see how this works for us. My add solar panels later.
Again Thanks Ludo.
