JACKSON CENTER, OH – Ron Williams, 78, of Sidney, and Charles Metz, 76, of rural Wapakoneta, are celebrating their fifty fifth anniversary working for Airstream at the Jackson Center manufacturing plant. They started working in 1959, according to Sidney Daily News.
“It’s the first time we’ve had 55-year employees in the history of Airstream,” said Cindy Oakley, human resources administrator, to Sidney Daily News.
The men were recognized last week at the firm’s monthly plant meeting. Sidney Daily News reported they were given keepsake boxes with their pictures etched on them. “Later, they’ll be honored at a service award banquet,” Oakley explained to Sidney Daily News.
