Some of those laid off may not have to wait long......I just read on RVB that THOR has purchased the former HR towable facility from ASV and plans to build more of their motorhomes there.

Hopefully they can get jobs at some of the other RV plants in the area.

I have not told Thom about the shut down so not sure how my husband will feel. Probably like me thou. It is business and this is how they did it. Don't like it but it is the way it is. I was not involved in the meetings so not sure what else was discussed with doing the shut down. I have seen people let go that you would never think would go "pysco" but did and ended up doing LOTS of damage and ended up costing the company a boat load of money. Now they either meet them at the door and let them know or they MIGHT escort them to their desk to empty it out or they might set up a time and place to meet to pick up the box with all their stuff that someone else packed up.

Thor just bought the AVS towable plant and brand names. Hopefully they can put everyone back to work.
